Okay, okay, I know that it’s officially spelled SO-RA-NO-WO-TO. But after years of writing out iDOLM@STER, I’ve had enough of silly Japanese typography and just want to write something that people will understand, like Sora no Woto.
Anyway, the last batch of Crunchyroll announcements for this anime season are Sora no Woto and Hanamaru Kindergarten, two shows that are very cute in their own ways – Sora no Woto is described as “K-On! in the army,” while Hanamaru Kindergarten is about exactly what you think it’s about – the lives of a bunch of kindergarteners and their teacher.
I liked the first episode of Sora no Woto. It was cute without being obnoxious, which counts for a lot these days. Hanamaru Kindergarten is still an unknown, so I’ll get back to you when I’ve seen it – it looks like it’s going to be cute to the point of tooth decay, but given that its subject matter is kindergarteners (and not the creepily oversexualized Kodomo no Jikan kind), the cuteness is both understandable and expected.
Both shows will become available starting next week, so check them out! I will be.
